When this project first ran, some materials were created to roughly guage its impact on students. There were two documents - a pre-test, given right before the students participated in the project, and a post-test, given just after. They are purposefully similar, so that it would be relatively easy to measure any impact on student learning.

You may use the material in these tests to help in the creation of your own assessments and lessons. They are in PDF format, and you will need to have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader plugin installed.
