Gulf
Stream Voyage has been developed as a
guide to assist students as they discover and explore the many wonders
of the Gulf Stream through various activities using real time data and
primary source materials.
Teachers:
Besides using this complete tutorial , you may choose to use one or more
individual acitivities to supplement lessons in other traditional curriculum
areas. Each activity has been written to be used on its' own in a
science classroom that doesn't traditionally cover marine science.
Refer to the Subject Guide to determine the
individual lessons that are appropriate for your class. Refer to
the Teacher Guide to find individual lesson
plans and student worksheets for each activity. |
In
order to complete your Gulf Stream Voyage.....

Proceed
through the lessons in the Real Time Data Activities Page.

As you
proceed through each lesson, you will see our Question
Button. Click on the button below to
practice using it.

Answer
the questions and/or follow the directions in the Pop-Up Windows as you
proceed with each lesson.

Once you
are finished with one lesson, return to the Real Time Activities Page to
continue with the next available lesson.

After
completing all of the lessons, you will be ready to discover other ocean
surface currents. Take the Test that is available to apply
your new knowledge across the globe.

Proceed
to the Enrichment Activities to complete some advanced activities
about the Gulf Stream.

Continue
on to the Language Arts & History Activities to learn how the
Gulf Stream has been a part of American History and to practice your creative
writing skills.

Lastly,
you may submit any/all your work to the project website for everyone to
see.
