Our Lady of the Magnificat School
Kinnelon, New Jersey
We compared our findings to the Sawyers Valley Primary School (second entry) in Sawyers Valley, Western Australia. We chose this school because we
thought we would find different things since they are so far away from us. Both of the schools found the following animals: ants, beetles and spiders.
We also found: frogs, frog eggs, black water bugs, worms and a lady bug. The school in Australia found:lizards, crickets, millipedes, earwigs and
maggots.
Both schools found the following plants: plants, leaves, roots and trees. We also found: flowers, dandelions and clovers. The school in Australia
found: operculums (caps that fall off gum blossoms as they bloom)and Gumnuts. Both schools found the following non living things: dirt, sticks, rocks
and stones. We also found: mud, blue tape, mulch, water, and dead pussy willows as well as dead spiders and worms. The Sawyers Valley Primary School
found: a lid and glass.
We learned a lot and we had fun.
