Hi. Welcome to the Global Temperature Project Page!
The purpose of this project is to see how average daily temperature and hours of sunlight are effected by how close you are to the equator. The project will begin on November 17th and run through December 12th. In order to find out about this, schools all over the world are taking the temperature at noon during the week of December 1. Each school will then send their data (along with their schools latitude and longitude) to all the other participating schools and we will post this data on our classroom maps. We will then be able to see if there is a relationship between closeness to the equator and temperature and sunlight.
