Project Timeline (All dates are year 2002)

Register for the Project.  Read the Project Description and Schedule (if you have not already done so).

3/4

#2 Submit a Letter of Introduction from your school to the Project Discussion Area.  You can also submit photos of your class at any time. These photos will be posted in the Student Area.

3/18 - 4/26

#3 Begin the optional Language Arts Activity.  
#4 Do the Science Experiment (collect the data)
   This is the ONLY week to do the experiment.

4/29 - 5/3

#5 DEADLINE for submitting your data.  Submit your data to the Project Data section on the main page.

Graph and analyze the data reported by all participants. You should make two graphs:
  1. Daylight (average minutes of sunlight): y-axis  vs. Latitude: x-axis
  2. Temperature (average temperature oC): y-axis vs. Latitude: x-axis

  3. NOTE: Sample graphs are available for your previewing.

 

#7 Determine if there is any relationship between latitude and average minutes of sunlight, and latitude and average temperature.  
#8 Submit a student written Final Report sharing your results, lessons learned, etc.
