Global Sun Temperature Project
May
2002 - FINAL REPORTS
Coronado Middle School, Tucson, AZ, USA

What we found out was that there are different temperatures in different places of the world. And we are comparing the temperatures and sunlight hours of the participating schools of the Sun Times Online Project. By finding the locations of the schools using latitude and longitude we wanted to know if being closer to the equator makes a difference in temperature or sunlight hours. The school with the most sunlight hours is away from the equator. The school that is closer to the equator is the one that has the hottest temperatures. We also found out that it's important to measure right when taking the temperature or your data won't be right.
