The temperature of our region plays an important part in our daily lives. These language arts and geography activities give students the opportunity to compare and contrast lifestyles of their own community with other communities throughout the world. Unlike the science portion of the project, the purpose is to share information and become more aware of the world outside your classrooms. Therefore, completing these activities are not required for participation in this project although highly recommended.

• Geography Activity - Find the Participating Schools
  Locate the participating schools on a map and research their country, culture, and environment.
   
• Language Arts Activity: How does climate affect your environment? (APRIL - MAY)
  Research information about your school and other participating classes and determine how climate affect your living environment.
   
• Language Arts Activity: Cultural Exchange (NOVEMBER - DECEMBER)
  Share and exchange information about various New Years celebrations and Holidays.
